Me

Hey, my name is Katie, 40, mother, wife and small business owner. I'm not sure what people think of me but I've never asked or cared to find out. I just try to be strong and honest but I sometimes let my emotions get the better of me and sometimes my big mouth gets me in trouble. When I turned 19 I decided to move to Reno, Nevada, this is the first time I realized how there was so much more to the world around me. At 21 in Reno I gave birth to my daughter Chainy.

I moved back and forth from Reno and home, Canada for years before I settled (not sure if settled is the word to use) down with my husband, Mike (literally the best husband in the world) and had 2 more children, sons Chael and Kade. My mother (who's memory is, let's say selective at times) has moved in with us, I've just started a new business and now attempting this blog.

My business is in beauty and event planning. I try to bring the two together as often as possible by doing things like, Lipstick & Wine Tour and Nail Polish Pub Crawl, this always makes things more interesting and I get to meet a lot of great people in the process. Being a makeup artist I also cater to a ton of weddings, ladies' nights out and beauty classes.

I honestly love the truth about people and the closeness people give to me, even complete strangers. I want to share the highs and lows and out landish things I have experienced in my life. From finding a baby, moving to Reno, experiencing burning man, being a young mother, starting a business and how chocolate, bake goods and wine make it all better. These stories are definitly worth sharing and I hope in the process no one is to offended. Maybe you might even debate whether it's fact or fiction, either way it will be a ride.
